Greetings from our dogs!
Kitzi
DJ (Dock Junior), AKC Trick Novice, CGC
SV Hips A Normal, Elbows ED-Normal
Responsive to leading and suggestion, assumes a partnership with owners, strongly attuned to owners’ thoughts, strong self-respect without being spoiled. Usually the spokesperson for reasonable requests from our dogs. Excellent eye contact, strong treat and toy motivation, confident.
Mix of East & West German, primarily working lines, deep bark, powerful. A good nose.
Aurora (Rory)
CGC
Embark Tested * SV Hips A * SV Elbows Normal
Aurora (Rory), as her name suggests, sparkles radiantly.
Rory had a privileged upbringing and has loads of confidence, physical skill, affection and problem solving ability to show for it. She is from Kitzi’s 1st litter. It was all obstacle courses, tricks, training and field trips from early on for this girl.
It’s wonderful to watch her decision making. For example, since she was 6 months old “Officer” Rory has been explaining the importance of manners to puppies and adult dogs in need. She lets things go for a while, and then effectively disciplines badly-behaved dogs of any size. Neutral onlookers tend to smile.
Rory is wonderfully agile and powerful, great with puppies and fearless in new experiences.
With solid physique and temperament, excellent conformation and beautiful color, Rory is gentle, inquisitive and intelligently motivated, but not annoyingly pushy. In physical games she is smart, nimble and extremely fast. Rory is a fierce competitor who engages richly with her people, and thoughtfully responsive to their commands.
Polina
CGC
Embark Tested * SV Hips A * SV Elbows Normal
Polina is our lovely AKC-registered long-coated bi-color German Shepherd, imported from Ukraine. True bi-colors are quite rare, and Polina is a lovely example of this striking coloration, with a plush coat as well. More importantly, her temperament is exceptional for her role of family dog.
She holds multiple AKC titles, including CGC (Canine Good Citizen), TKN (Trick Dog Novice), ATT (Temperament Test), and Star Puppy, reflecting her intelligence, trainability, and steady nature. Polina takes everything in stride — whether earning ribbons or relaxing at home, she does it all with quiet confidence and grace.
Polina is a gentle, nurturing spirit. She often mothers our other dogs and is excited to assist with puppies that aren’t hers. We can’t wait to see how she mothers her own litters! She makes it her mission to keep clean all canine and feline ears in the vicinity. She needs to be involved in any petting that’s going on, and her soft gaze eyes beam love to everyone she meets. But anyone who knocks on our door instantly finds out that our house is well guarded.
She is as engaged and excited outside as in. She’s a nimble speedster and cares as much about running with other dogs as she does chasing balls and sticks. She loves biking, is a wonderful hiking companion, and is always happy to share time outdoors with her family. She has medium drive and calmly settles into any situation with her people and pack.
Absolutely loves to have her neck scratched – she starts making snuffling sounds when you reach toward it. Very good with cats.
Cha Cha
ChaCha is a delight! She is constantly by our sides, eager to please and waiting for the next command or adventure. Her long coat is slick and fine. Her body type is that of a fox. We call her our foxy girl.
Strongly focused on toys, treats, and her owners. Aloof with strangers. Very competitive. Exceptionally smart, even for a GSD: when teaching the dogs the word ‘egg’ for a new toy, I said the word and threw it. All the dogs ran to it. We did it a second time. Then I interrupted by throwing a stick, and they all went and got it and brought it back to me. I then repeated the word ‘egg’. Cha Cha ran to it, put her paw on it, and looked up at me eagerly.
Exceptionally fast and nimble. Her Fast Cat times easily place her in top 100 fastest GSDs in the US. And watching ChaCha move is a joy – she is so powerful and lean that she can float like a ballerina, gliding over and around obstacles.
Cha Cha is a great hiking buddy and will enthusiastically go any distance.
Wagginess: 10 out of 10, her long, beautiful tail is always in motion, but smart girl that she is, she learned early on to alter her continuous wag to avoid hurting it on doorframes, etc.

Otto Vom Renegat Haus Camon (Otto)
OFA Hips (Good) and Elbows (Normal)
Otto has recently joined Stony Lonesome GSD and is fitting in quite nicely! Otto is a great mix of desirable German Shepherd traits. He is very confident, lots of energy, has an off switch, would love to snuggle on the couch with us (we don’t allow that), he is very obedient and is always trying to figure out what you want. He entered our home with our 4 girls with no problems what so ever, gets along great with other dogs. He LOVES to play ball. He knows more of the German language than we do, having been trained in obedience commands in German. He is a okay being alone but absolutely loves his people. Loves people and toys above all. He is a very handsome boy weighing approximately 85 pounds, well built and stocky. He is a great addition to our kennel and we are happy to welcome him to Stony Lonesome German Shepherds.
Victory of the Grey Patrick (Paddy) – Retired
Hips: HD-A, Elbows: ED-0, DM clear
Charismatic – people love him on sight, playful, excellent example of prized GSD “aloofness” with strangers, very nurturing with puppies.
Lean but powerful, heavy coated, well-muscled, good bone. Intimidating bark. Desirable melanistic / blanket back.

CGC, AKC Trick Novice
Unusually gentle and loving, uses pass-betweens to break up conflict, tested high as a therapy dog and did well in training. Loves children, and catching and chasing frisbees and balls and sticks. A tug-of-war champ. Always up for a belly rub, and I do mean always!
West German pedigree, strong, agile, loping stride that covers ground. The fastest dog at the park when she feels like it. Beautiful silky coat.
